Internship | Balance Claims

To satisfy my last requirement to graduate Ball State University, I interned at Balance Claims. I was the sales and marketing coordinator.

It was a rewarding experience that helped me achieve some of my professional, academic and personal goals. I was able to grow more as a person and become more confident in myself and with my work. My work days would consist of making calls, sending out emails/doing marketing campaigns, PCL's and ROI's, spreadsheets, following leads, researching target markets, finding ways to reach new target markets, meetings with our digital marketing agency and client relations and executive summaries. I did some more things but those were some of my normal, day-to-day tasks. Attached you will find some of my work from my internship experience. Some of the stuff I cannot add because of confidentiality reasons.

Here is one example of an email campaign I sent out. This was for contacts and leads we have around Minnesota, informing them of an event one of our partners put on.

Another email I typed up. This one is not as descriptive because I had an attachment with it. The attachment is a brochure provided by the company. I send this email, along with similar other ones, to client we meet at expos, conferences and trade shows.

Above are hail storms I recorded that were rated between one and five, five being the worst. This information helped me see what clients are in the most affected areas. I, also, will be making a map to see what areas we can target next. This will help find new public's to target in the future.

This is one of my more recent campaigns. The first example was just me spitting out ideas, where the fourth one was my favorite one. I know I can only get better, but I picked one email and my supervisor picked the first one. We sent one template to half of our list and the other one to the other half, to see which one was better. This email went out to former clients we worked with to check-in on them and maintain communication and relations.
